Once again I apologize for the lack of posts. I often feel like it’s a full-time job to maintain a blog and I’ve used more than my share of “sick days” in the past couple of months.

One of the reasons why I’ve been absent as of late is that I’ve been busy working on the final production of a new children’s picture book entitled Kovi the Koala.

The project was inspired by news back in January that I would be an uncle. Sure enough, in August, my sister and her husband gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Tristan.

The past month has been a whirlwind of last-minute edits, production meetings, and finally, the end product you can now order on Lulu.com, both in hardcover and paperback versions.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the book:

The story follows Kovi the Koala as he escapes from the Central Park Zoo to explore the bustling streets of New York City. Throughout the day, Kovi cooks at a French bistro on Madison Avenue, plays drums for a rock band in the Lower East Side, and stars in a Hollywood movie in Chinatown! But in the end, Kovi realizes that “things always seem better when you’re on the inside looking out”.
