For all you Toronto readers out there, I’ll be spinning at Propeller Gallery (984 Queen St. West) tonight (Wednesday, September 29) from 8 pm to 11 pm, in support of an exciting new creative marketing organization called Idea Nursery.
It’s completely free, all you have to do is RSVP here. The launch party will be catered by Serrano Imports and drinks will be provided by Vintage One Wines and Steamwhistle.
And if that weren’t enough, attendees will also be able to get a preview of the upcoming FACE IT HEAD ON: Self-Portrait Redefined, which showcases 50 non-literal self-portraits created by Propeller and Workman Arts artists.
Before the party, Idea Nursery will host an informative discussion entiteld “How to Thrive in the Evolving Media Landscape”, which includes panel members Sabaa Quao, VP of strategy of emerging platforms at The Hive Strategic Marketing; Mike Sutton, managing director at Zulu Alpha Kilo; Jamie Schouela, VP of marketing Strategy at Global Television; and Eric Kuiper, VP of group account director at Mediacom.
Here’s some more details on what Idea Nursery is all about:
At IDEA NURSERY you’ll have more than twelve years of marketing strategy, and communications expertise working alongside you. We like to work as collaboratively as you’re comfortable with, ensuring that everyone involved in decision making is invested and connected to the idea at each stage.
We’ve worked with broadcasters, publishers, cultural institutions, music festivals and telecommunications companies in North America and Europe on new product development, TV concepts, partnerships, launch campaigns, market segmenting, research, live events and pretty much anything brand worthy that generates a profit. Developing a business case and demonstrating a return on investment is important to us. We believe marketing can, and should be accountable.
