This video for Coconut Records’ (Jason Schwartzman) last single, “Microphone”, definitely slipped under my radar last year, so I’ve decided to share it with you now.

The song is off his latest album, Davy, which was more or less a continuation of his 2007 debut, Nighttiming — a whimsical soundtrack for rolling down grassy hills on a hot summer day.

It features his sleeping/snoring French bulldog, Arrow, who was named after Harry Nilsson’s song “Me and My Arrow”.

Also, I suppose I feel sort of a kinship with this since my own French bulldog’s name was music-inspired (Serge after the late, great Gainsbourg).

Schwartzman’s fantastic HBO series Bored to Death begins its second season on September 26th.
