Stream Jenny and Johnny's I'm Having Fun Now

Like 95% of male (and female, for that matter) music nerds out there, I have had a crush on Jenny Lewis ever since the first time I saw her perform in 2006 during her Rabbit Fur Coat tour.

The attraction is a no-brainer, really. She’s cute, has impeccable style, and has the singing chops to back it all up. Oh, and she was in The Wizard, which, let’s face it, is an awesome filmography credit to boast. (“Yeah, well, uh, just keep your Power Gloves off her, pal, huh?”)

And although the last Rilo Kiley album was a bit disappointing, she made up for it in spades with her 2008 sophomore album, Acid Tongue.

But unfortunately, as any Jenny Lewis fan knows, she has a boyfriend. Fellow musician/singer-songwriter Jonathan Rice, to be exact.

Considering the two performed together, both in the studio and on tour (Rice opened for Lewis for both her solo album tours), I suppose it was only a matter of time before they officially worked on a full-fledged project.

The duo, dubbed simply as Jenny and Johnny, is releasing their debut album I’m Having Fun on August 31st, but you can currently stream the entire thing on NPR’s website.

They’ll also be touring extensively this fall, with an October 21st date at Toronto’s Kool Haus opening for Band of Horses.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard Cee-Lo’s cover of “No One’s Gonna Love You”? I think I speak for every Band of Horses fan when I say, “Huuuuuuuuh?!!”

That being said, his new single “Fuck You” might just be the best song of the summer.
